Belabed orders intensified efforts to make school entry a success
The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belabed, chaired, on Wednesday evening, a national symposium from the ministry’s headquarters in Mouradia, via video lecture technology, attended by members of the central administration and education directors, as a continuation of the series of seminars dedicated to following up on school entry scheduled for Tuesday, September 19th.
The Minister appreciated the efforts made by everyone, noting that the digitization of the state entry and exit process for professors allowed meeting an unprecedented percentage in our sector. Belabed also stressed the need to ensure the completion of the remaining operations according to the calendar of operational measures specified for them.
Regarding the employment of professors as contractors for vacant positions in the three educational levels, the Minister ordered the completion of all processes until the concerned persons join the institutions of their choice according to their merit order, to receive appointments and sign appointment minutes.
In conclusion, the senior official in the education sector stressed the need to intensify efforts to ensure the success of school entry, by ensuring that all educational groups and educational institutions are covered by educational and administrative supervision.
In the same context, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, instructed the Ministers of Interior and Education to take all measures to make school entry a success, and to mobilize all capabilities within the framework of tight and precise coordination between the two sectors to remove obstacles and solve problems according to the development of the Algerian school’s needs.
The President renewed his keenness to give great and exceptional importance to school cafeterias in remote areas, because of their essential role in providing a healthy climate to ensure optimal learning. He also held governors, starting next season, responsible for ensuring and fully and directly supervising school attendance in their states, calling for speedy implementation. Establishing a national office for school restaurants that will be responsible exclusively for the process.
President Tebboune also affirmed the state’s permanent support for low-income families, and directed his orders to create a solidarity fund supervised by the National Solidarity Sector, which will exclusively undertake the school solidarity process, especially the school grant, to which the state attaches special importance, as it is one of the pillars of the organized social character of the state.
The President of the Republic ordered that the school grant be paid at least one month before the date of school entry, starting next year. He also called for the preparation of a forward-looking vision that includes profound reforms to accommodate and improve the training of students, and to present it in an upcoming Council of Ministers.
