The two sides also discussed prospects for overcoming the difficulties currently impeding the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali emanating from the Algeria process, as well as ways to activate cooperation frameworks, whether bilateral with a security content or multilateral, similar to the Joint Operational Staff Committee (CEMOC), in the face of terrorist threats. The growing and expanding area of ​​international organized crime in their common neighborhood.

The talks, which took place in an atmosphere of trust and understanding – the statement adds – highlighted the commitment of the leaders of the two brotherly countries to work to strengthen the special and distinguished character of the Algerian-Malian relations, which are based on a common historical heritage whose main feature is exchange of support and solidarity, especially in difficult circumstances.
