The Ministry of National Education has set the second week of November as the date for the start of assignments and continuous monitoring of the first semester, at the level of the three educational stages.
The Ministry limited the assignment period to 20 days, which will take place in two stages, for subjects that require two assignments instead of one, stressing the need for all its interests to adhere to the necessity of respecting dates in all educational institutions across the country.
The same departments explained that determining the duration of organizing the exams comes in order to prepare for passing the first semester exams, and to avoid the time problem that many education and institution directors encountered last year, due to not completing the assignments within the specified period.
The interests of Minister Abdelhakim Belabed revealed that, in evaluating the students’ academic achievement, a number of elements will be adopted, including the calculation of continuous monitoring, in order to ensure credibility and objectivity in the students’ scoring.
According to the Ministry, the grading scale for continuous monitoring will depend on discipline and perseverance, as well as the student’s activity within the department, in addition to calculating the applied work completed by the student, his linguistic performance, his research projects, and his love of reading. The quarterly and annual average will also be calculated by combining the continuous monitoring points with the semesterly assignments and tests.
The assignments and tests are conducted at a specific time, in order to organize the sector as well as control the completion dates of the programmes, at a time when the academic year program for the regular levels was distributed into 36 weeks, while for the examination sections it was distributed into 32 weeks.
