Arkab receives the President and General Director of the Italian company “ZHERO” – Algerian Dialogue

Today, Monday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received the President and General Director of the Italian company specializing in the field of renewable energies, “ZHERO”, Alessandra Pasini.

During this meeting, which took place in the presence of His Excellency the Italian Ambassador to Algeria and officials from the Ministry, ways of enhancing cooperation and investment in the field of new and renewable energies were discussed, such as the production of electricity from photovoltaic solar energy, electrical interconnection with Italy, and the development of green hydrogen and ammonia.

In this regard, the Minister of Energy and Mines provided a comprehensive overview of the program for developing new and renewable energies in Algeria through Sonelgaz, and the national strategy for hydrogen development. He also stressed the sector’s readiness to enhance cooperation in the field of investment policies in renewable energies, provide practical and scientific tools, as well as exchange of experiences, training, training and technology transfer.

For her part, Ms. Bassini gave a presentation on a project to develop renewable energies and produce green electricity in Algeria, relying on modern technologies in the field.

At the conclusion of this meeting, the two sides agreed to form a joint working team to study all aspects of the project presented by “Zahiro”.

The Italian company “Zhiro” is considered one of the pioneering companies in the field of providing solutions and developing and storing new and renewable energy projects, as well as in the field of energy interconnection, reducing emissions, reducing the production bill, and supporting local content, using the latest technologies in these fields.
