The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received, today, Monday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Algeria, Mr. Francisco Javier Pere Gonio Hurtado.
The two parties reviewed the cooperation relations between the two countries in the field of energy in general, especially in the field of renewable energies and hydrogen development.
The two parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation and investment in the mining sector in Algeria, especially research, exploitation and production of mining materials. The Minister of Energy and Mines, during his presentation of the mining sector development plan, called on Chilean companies to invest in the field of mines in Algeria and to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with Algerian companies, with the exchange of Experiences and expertise between the two parties.
The Chilean ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the good relations between the two countries, expressing the interest of Chilean companies in intensifying exchanges with companies in the energy and mining sector in Algeria.
