Today, Thursday, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received the CEO of the Italian company Eni, Claudio Descalzi, in the presence of the President and Director General of Sonatrach and ministry officials.
A statement from the ministry explained that the two parties reviewed the cooperation and partnership relations between Sonatrach and the Italian company Eni, describing them as historic and excellent, as well as the prospects for strengthening them, within the framework of the agreements signed between the two companies.
The discussions centered – with the confiscation of the source – on existing projects between Sonatrach and Eni in the field of hydrocarbons, hydrogen, new and renewable energies, as well as investment opportunities to increase production and exports.
The Minister of Energy and Mines and the CEO of Eni discussed the current situation and development of the international natural gas market, as well as business opportunities and future investment prospects between Sonatrach and Eni at the international level and in the field of electrical interconnection between Algeria and Europe via Italy.
The President and General Manager of Eni said that he is very satisfied with the partnership between Sonatrach and Eni, expressing his keen interest in intensifying its investments in Algeria and continuing to develop this partnership in anticipation of launching new projects in Algeria and at the international level.
