Tomorrow, Monday, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, will participate, via videoconference, in the work of the 109th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).
During this session, OAPEC ministers will focus on the points on the agenda, study organizational issues and evaluate the activities of this organization.
The development of the global oil market conditions and preparation for the twelfth Arab Energy Conference “Qatar 2023” will also be on the agenda of this ministerial meeting.
OAPEC was founded in 1968 by Kuwait, Libya and Saudi Arabia. Algeria joined in 1970. It consists of 10 member states, headquartered in Kuwait, and aims to coordinate the energy policies of Arab countries with the aim of promoting their economic development at the regional level, as well as cooperation in the field of oil development, joint ventures and regional integration.
