The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, and his accompanying delegation arrived in the state of Tizi Ouzou on a working and inspection visit, this Saturday morning.
The delegation consists of the President and Director General of Sonelgaz, the President of the Fuel Regulatory Authority, and the President and Director General of the Naftal and Tire Company from the Ministry.
The minister and his accompanying delegation were received at the state headquarters by the governor of Tizi Ouzou and representatives of the local authorities in the state.
In the first leg of the visit program of the Minister and his accompanying delegation to the state of Tizi Ouzou, and to the Chaoufa region, in the municipality of Maqale, a detailed presentation was given on the energy and mining sector, by the Director of Energy and Mines in the state of Tizi Ouzou.
In the same region, the Minister of Energy and Mines supervised the putting into service a 30/60 kilovolt electrical transformer, which is part of the framework of strengthening the electrical network in Tizi Ouzou.
This project aims to enhance and secure electrical energy supplies in the state, especially for domestic, agricultural and industrial consumers, and to contribute to improving the quality and continuity of the electrical energy supply service.
For the completion of this transformer, which falls within the framework of the institution’s focused investment projects, a total financial envelope estimated at 900 million dinars has been allocated.
