Approval of a new wording of Article 22, the subject of the dispute, of the organic law related to media – the Algerian dialogue

The equal-member committee of the two chambers of Parliament on Article 22 of the organic law related to media held a meeting today, Wednesday, at the parliament’s headquarters, chaired by Ahmed Moaz, head of the committee.

The meeting was devoted to studying the disputed article, in the presence of government representatives, Mohamed Bouslimani, Minister of Communication, and Ms. Basma Azwar, Minister of Relations with Parliament.

At first, the chairman of the committee mentioned the constitutional article and the organic law regulating this meeting. Then, after extensive discussion and study, the committee members unanimously approved a new wording for Article 22 of the organic law on media, as well as the preliminary report that was prepared regarding this amendment.
