The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Ali Aoun, threatened the officials of the “Sidal” complex with harsh penalties next week, due to their inability to achieve the required results and fulfill obligations, while large salaries go for nothing.

During an inspection visit, today, Thursday, to the state of Tipaza, Ali Aoun confirmed in press statements that he will apply the same penalties applied to private dealers in case of breach of their obligations, and said that the penalties will be implemented starting from next week and will be more severe because the matter is related to the complex. Public uses state funds, and he said, “I will apply more penalties to you than private ones.. You use state funds and are unable to manage.”

Ali Aoun indicated that he had given instructions to the “Saidal” complex and a deadline of 6 months, but they were not applied on the ground, and nothing new occurred in the institution, stressing that he would take all punitive measures starting from next week. Ali Aoun added that the Saidal complex is responsible for producing medicines and meeting the needs of patients for medicines in Algeria, in addition to the responsibility of workers and employees in the factory, as the sector is always waiting for the “Sidal” complex to be in the best conditions, adding that “some of the managers want something else.” Although there are salaries paid to workers without providing any compensation, ”and the minister inferred that the digital platform of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry is devoid of information about the production of “Saidal” and the stock of ready-made, raw materials or those destined for marketing, and that the complex produces 15 million units annually, equivalent to 20 percent. of production, which is a small percentage compared to what is expected.
