An American veto aborts a draft resolution accepting full membership of the State of Palestine in the United Nations

The UN Security Council failed on Thursday to pass a draft resolution accepting full membership of the State of Palestine in the United Nations due to the American veto.
12 countries voted yes in favor of the draft law, while 2 abstained from voting. The only voice opposing the project was the voice of the United States of America, which has veto power, and therefore the project was rejected.
The United States used its veto against a draft resolution recommending that the General Assembly accept the State of Palestine as a member of the United Nations.
