An Algerian parliamentary delegation participates in the work of the 147th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Luanda – Algerian Dialogue

The opening session was preceded by coordination meetings of the Arab and African regional geopolitical groups, as well as the Islamic Group, whose meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohamed Reda Ousahla, Vice President of the National Assembly, on behalf of Mr. Ibrahim Bougali, President of the National People’s Assembly, and President of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, for consultation. Regarding the urgent item that will be included in the Assembly’s agenda.

Representatives of the Arab and African groups in the Union agreed on the necessity of presenting an emergency and urgent clause to denounce the barbaric aggression launched by the Israeli occupation against the brotherly Palestinian people in Gaza and all the various Palestinian territories. The Arab group also nominated Algeria and Kuwait, along with countries from other geopolitical groups, to prepare a text. A resolution entitled “Stopping the war on Gaza and stopping human rights violations,” which will be presented to the General Assembly tomorrow for a vote.
