The Republic’s mediator stressed that enhancing this can only be achieved by adopting an approach to consolidating cooperation and coordination mechanisms, and achieving this goal requires a charter that defines the responsibilities and duties of the administration and the employee towards the beneficiaries of its services. It also requires the preparation of indicators to evaluate performance and effectiveness in order to continuously improve the administration’s relations with citizens. .
The spokesman added that what is required now is to adopt a new approach capable of consolidating professional ethics in public administrations and institutions according to effective mechanisms aimed at restricting the employee to his duties when performing the tasks assigned to him, establishing a culture of citizen service, and improving the performance of these facilities through periodic evaluation of their work and the degree of citizens’ satisfaction with the services provided. This is what allows the public administration, as he pointed out, to engage in a continuous development approach to improve procedures and practices.
Amour added that this would enhance interaction and cooperation between various public bodies, as it brings together the local delegates of the Republic’s mediator and the general inspectors of the states who are locally charged with following up on the study of citizens’ concerns in various public administrations within the newly developed coordination mechanisms, similar to the state cell for coordination and follow-up, which meets monthly.
In turn, Ms. Masrati stated that her body has developed a strategy aimed at consolidating the principle of morality in public life and promoting good governance in Algeria.

As a reminder, the fourth regional meeting, in the central district, was organized by the Republic’s Mediator Authority in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, local groups, urban development, and the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption.
Local delegates and general inspectors from thirteen states in the center of the country participated in the meeting, and two training workshops were organized for their benefit entitled The status of handling citizens’ petitions, the problem and ways to deal with it, and mechanisms for ensuring the quality of public service and enhancing transparency.
