On Saturday morning, a prayer for rain was held across all the nation’s mosques, in implementation of the call of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, in order to pray to God Almighty to provide relief to the people and the country, after the rain was delayed and withheld for a long time.
This prayer was performed by performing two rak’ahs, followed by the sermons of the imams, who stressed the necessity of thanking God Almighty for all His blessings and good worship, calling for obedience to Him, seeking forgiveness, and relieving the country from the scarcity of rainfall. They also stressed the necessity of turning to God by frequently mentioning Him so that He may remove from the nation. Drought, epidemics and diseases, and to continue the blessing of security for Algeria and all Muslims.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments had called, last Wednesday, in a statement, for rain prayer to be held on Saturday in all the nation’s mosques, due to the lack of rain in most parts of the country, which harmed the country and the people, and in accordance with the Sunnah of the Chosen One, may God bless him and grant him peace.
The Ministry also urged, in the same context, to “turn to God Almighty with repentance, supplication, supplication, night prayers, reading the Qur’an, redressing grievances, and reconciliation between quarrels, so that God Almighty may give us clear, beneficial rain.”
The rain prayer, which was performed on Saturday morning across the various mosques of the Republic, is considered a confirmed Sunnah in Islamic jurisprudence, in accordance with the Sunnah of the Chosen One, may God bless him and grant him peace, from whom it is proven that this prayer is performed in the event of drought in the country.
