Algeria presents its program for the presidency of the Security Council today – New Algeria

Since yesterday, Wednesday, Algeria has assumed the presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the month of January, intending to use it to continue making the voice of Arab and African countries heard and advocating for just causes.

Since the beginning of its membership in the Council, Algeria has devoted its efforts to championing just causes, especially the Palestinian issue and Western Sahara, as it has presented important initiatives to keep the Palestinian issue among the priorities of the international community.

Algeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ammar Benjama, will present the Council’s work program in a press conference on Thursday afternoon after the Security Council approves the program in a morning session.
