Algeria expressed, on Sunday, its full readiness to provide assistance to the State of Morocco, following the earthquake that struck Marrakesh.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated in a statement that Algeria presented an emergency plan to assist Morocco in the context of the disaster it suffered. He added, “Algeria will launch this plan if the Kingdom of Morocco accepts this aid.”
This assistance is represented by a civil protection intervention team consisting of 80 specialized assistants. Deployed by a “Sino Technical” team specialized in searching under the rubble. A search, relief and medical team. As well as humanitarian aid, including first aid, mattresses and tents.”
It is noteworthy that the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior confirmed that the number of victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the country rose to 2,012 dead, in addition to 2,059 injured. Moroccan rescue teams also continue to be on alert searching for survivors under the rubble.
