Algeria is the master of its own decisions and will not be subject to compromise in its positions

The National Construction Movement affirmed that Algeria is the master of its own decision and adheres to its right to dispose of its affairs in all issues. It will not accept any dictates from any party whatsoever and will not be subject to compromise in its positions.

The movement explained, through a statement, that it was surprised by the decision of the International Pétanque Federation to immediately suspend the activity of the Algerian federation, freeze the activity of any Algerian member in the continental federations, and prevent Algerian athletes from participating in upcoming tournaments.

The movement also added that this decision expresses disappointment regarding this unjustified position and the subsequent arbitrary measures against Algeria, which was praised by the same international body after its exemplary and successful organization at all levels of the World Youth Championship, which took place in Oran last September.

The movement highly appreciated the position of the Algerian Petanque Federation and the Algerian athletes, in refusing to wear a shirt that supports “homosexuality” for the winners at the medal ceremony, stressing that the position of the Algerian Petanque Federation is an honorable position and represents all honorable Algerians.

The party highlighted that Algeria is the master of its own decision-making and adheres to its right to dispose of its affairs in all issues, whether political, economic, cultural or sports. It will not accept any dictates from any party and will not be subject to compromise in its positions.

The movement considered that the reactions of Algerian institutions, regardless of their field, specialization and all components, were not improvised, mature and sound, and based on their national commitments to preserving the moral, social and humanitarian values ​​of the Algerian people.

The movement affirmed its solidarity and support for the positions of all official bodies and societal forces that confront the desperate and systematic attempts of global forces and organizations, through their media and influence in various international bodies, to impose moral choices that the Algerian government and people reject.

The party considered homosexuality to be a moral depravity and societal deviation that is contrary to normal human nature, not to mention that it is illegal in Algeria. It called on the International Federation to respect the sovereign sporting choices of the Algerian Pétanque Federation, calling for a reversal of its unfair decision and an immediate repeal of its arbitrary decision.
