Algeria intensifies scientific research with specialized international institutions
The head of the National Council for Scientific Research and Technologies, Mohamed Al-Taher Abadalia, confirmed on Saturday in the capital that his body is betting on intensifying joint scientific research with international institutions, noting that many meetings are currently taking place in this regard.
Abadalia said in a speech he delivered on the occasion of the opening of the third regular session of the Council’s General Assembly, saying: “We have taken many measures to cooperate with friendly countries that have institutions similar to the National Council for Scientific Research and Technologies, and many meetings are currently taking place in this regard.”
The President of the National Council for Scientific Research and Technologies continued by saying: “The message of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was clear when he spoke about intensifying joint scientific research with specialized international institutions, with the aim of enhancing the possibilities of storing solar energy and investing in electronuclear energy for medical purposes, as well as encouraging young people to support institutions.” And develop them while ensuring a suitable climate that will contribute to the take-off of the national economy.”
The President of the Council highlighted that “economic diversification cannot be achieved without integrating innovation, research and development in priority areas,” adding that this policy “will lead to the creation of new institutions and advanced technologies while comprehensively improving competitiveness in the country.” Abadliya also indicated on this occasion that the National Center Scientific research and technologies “have important achievements, including achieving the first stage related to governance, which aims to spread a culture of joint decision while benefiting from collective skill.”
The same official explained that the second stage, which is the subject of this General Assembly in its third session, concerns “establishing the various mechanisms (committees) stipulated by the Constitution and whose tasks the law determines.”
