The same official said that the government had completed the preparation of a profit margin project for widely consumed items, and had also relied on adopting special measures to meet the needs of the national market for dry legumes.

The Prime Minister regretted the painful reality of model farms in Algeria and said in this regard, “There is no good in a nation that eats from what it does not produce and wears from what it does not sew… It is shameful for us to import legumes.”

He said that urgent measures must be put in place in order to achieve self-sufficiency and food security, adding, “We will not return to the previous period in importing what can be grown here and establishing new storage centers.”

On the other hand, the Prime Minister revealed that lifting the freeze on promotion in public employment came in implementation of the orders of the President of the Republic, adding that 280,000 employees will benefit from promotion in public employment, with a total financial impact of the process amounting to 29.6 billion Algerian dinars.
