Algeria expressed its deep concern over the successive barbaric operations and the dangerous escalation of the occupation forces against the Palestinian people, in flagrant violation of all international laws and norms. The source stressed that Algeria renews its full and permanent solidarity with the Palestinian people and calls on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to intervene urgently to stop these repeated and systematic criminal attacks and to impose respect for the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The occupation army launched a surprise military operation dubbed “The Protective Arrow”, which included a series of raids targeting the homes of 3 leaders of the “Quds Brigades”, namely Jihad Ghannam, Khalil al-Bahtini and Tariq Izz al-Din, which led to their martyrdom, along with their wives and a number of their family members. The list of martyrs includes 10 civilians, including 4 children and 6 women, in addition to 3 leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad Movement, while the number of injuries in the Israeli storming of the Old City reached 12.
