Today, Tuesday, Prime Minister Nadhir Al-Arbawi chaired a government meeting devoted to continuing the study of a preliminary draft law regulating mining activities.

The government also listened to a presentation on the Bouzina Dam project in the state of Batna, which was completed with a storage capacity estimated at 18 million cubic metres.

On the other hand, the government studied ways to strengthen the regulatory framework related to the management of land border posts. This is in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic aimed at establishing modern and effective border facilities. It is sufficient to facilitate the movement of travelers and improve the quality of services provided.

The government also listened to a presentation on the progress of the process of installing carbon monoxide detectors. Which was launched in implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic, which has so far allowed the installation of more than 9.7 million detectors across 58 states.

The detectors were installed to protect citizens from the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The process of installing the detector will continue over the coming year, with the involvement of start-ups and local manufacturers. In addition to intensifying awareness campaigns to ensure safe use of gas equipment.
