Ajal: The electricity projects completed by Sonelgaz will allow good supplies for citizens during the summer – Algerian Dialogue

The President and General Director of the Sonelgaz Complex, Murad Ajal, confirmed today, Tuesday in Algiers, that the electrical energy projects that have been completed will allow ensuring a good supply of electricity to citizens during the summer.

Mr. Ajal explained during a press conference held on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of a support and partnership contract between the subsidiary of Sonelgaz “Black Eagles – ES Setif Club” and the Algerian Insurance Company “CAT” that “the Algerian state has put into service a significant number of projects at the national level.” “It was completed between 2023 and 2024 to improve public service.”

He pointed out that the complex, after recording some deficiencies in the electrical network at the end of the summer of 2023, developed an urgent plan for which “a significant amount of money was allocated,” pointing out that this plan allowed for the completion of maintenance work, renewal of cables, installation of some transformers, as well as the completion of additional stations. To produce electricity.

Mr. Ajal stressed that “the summer of 2024 will be much better than the summer of 2023,” recalling the rise in temperatures to high levels in some states a few days ago, which, according to him, was not accompanied by power outages.

The spokesman pledged that the complex’s companies would make “every effort so that the Algerian citizen can enjoy prosperity in terms of financing electricity,” highlighting at the same time the importance of the rational use of this energy.

The President and Director General stated that the intervention teams will work 24 hours a day, stressing that “interruptions will be very few, and will be limited to cases outside the scope of the complex.”
