A delegation from the National People’s Assembly arrived, today, Saturday, in the capital of Côte d’Ivoire, Abidjan, to participate in the work of the 49th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, according to a statement by the Council.
The same source stated that the delegation led by the Vice-President of the National People’s Assembly, Mondher Boudin, was received upon his arrival in Abidjan by the head of the Ivorian National Group of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Traore Mimouna, who was accompanied by the Chargé d’Affairs of the Algerian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire.
On the same occasion, the two sides reviewed the reality of the friendly relations between the two countries, where Mr. Boden stressed “the importance Algeria attaches to the African continent,” highlighting “promising prospects for cooperation with African countries.”
The meeting also constituted – according to the statement – “an opportunity to discuss a number of related issues, such as the role of transport in promoting and making inter-cooperation successful,” as Mr. Boden stressed “Algeria’s keenness to strengthen linkages in the field of air and sea transport with African countries.”
It is noteworthy that the delegation of the National People’s Assembly includes, in addition to Munther Boden, member of the Executive Committee of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Muhammad Yazid bin Hamouda.
