Police arrested five people, after an exchange of gunfire between two rival groups near an Islamic gathering to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, while at least 3 people were injured.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m., when police at the scene heard about 30 gunshots, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said at a news conference.
He added that two groups of people exchanged fire, and terrified people began to flee. The reason for this clash is not yet clear.
The police commissioner said that officers have so far detained five people, and four weapons were found at the scene.
