In pictures: Arkab receives the Minister of Energy and Minerals of the Sultanate of Oman – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received, on Sunday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the Minister of Energy and Minerals of the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Salem Al-Awfi, in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, the President and Director General of Sonatrach and tires from the Ministry.

On this occasion, the Omani Minister of Energy and Minerals praised the success of the seventh summit of heads of state and government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, congratulating Algeria on what it had done to make the summit a success, which took place in the best conditions.

The two parties also reviewed the state of cooperation relations between the two countries, which are described as brotherly and excellent, in the field of energy and mines, and ways to enhance them.

The two parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation and investment in the field of the gas and oil industry and ways to enhance them, as well as in the field of hydrocarbon exploration, development and exploitation, and petrochemistry, by enhancing cooperation between Sonatrach and Omani companies such as Abraaj Company.

The two parties also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership in the field of new and renewable energies, hydrogen development, as well as training.
