The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, while chairing a Cabinet meeting on Sunday, ordered raising the scholarship for university students to 2,000 DZD per month, with this decision taking effect starting this October, according to what the Cabinet reported.
Regarding the university entrance assessment (2023/2024), the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ordered “to raise the scholarship for university students from 1,300 dinars per month to 2,000 dinars per month, provided that the president’s decision enters into force starting this October, pending the preparation of a new vision.” Comprehensive of the university services system in Algeria,” as the same source explained.
In a related context, President Tebboune appreciated “the qualitative leap in the higher education sector, especially with regard to its contribution to enhancing national production,” as he instructed the Minister of the sector, Ahmed Badani, to “thank the entire family of higher education and scientific research,” directing him to “connect Algerian universities and their counterparts abroad through twinning with the aim of developing efforts and perceptions in the field of research and higher education.”
With regard to the assessment of school entry (2023-2024), the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, directed the government to “complete the preparation of schools, whether renovated or new educational facilities, in coordination with the governors of the Republic, within a period of two weeks at the latest.”
He also gave his directives to “evaluate all the concerns of the students’ parents regarding their children’s schooling, no matter how simple the concerns, and provide the necessary solutions immediately,” according to the same statement.
