The Office of the National People’s Assembly sets the schedule for plenary sessions – Algerian Dialogue

Today, Sunday, Ibrahim Bougali, President of the National People’s Council, chaired a meeting of the Council’s office.

After that, the office reviewed the list of draft laws that had been deposited since the beginning of the regular parliamentary session 2023-2024 and are under study at the level of the permanent committees, and, by the way, set the schedule for plenary sessions during the coming period, as it was decided to resume them on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, with a plenary session devoted to presenting and discussing the draft. The Corrective Finance Law of 2023, provided that a plenary session will be allocated on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, to continue the general discussion and listen to the government representative’s response to the concerns of ladies and gentlemen representatives.

The National People’s Assembly will continue its work in a plenary session held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, to ask oral questions.

The timetable also includes holding a public session on Sunday, October 8, 2023, to vote on the draft corrective finance law for the year 2023, as well as to vote on a draft law that includes approval of Order 23-01, which amends and supplements Law No. 13-05 related to regulating and developing physical and sports activities.

The timetable also includes holding a public session to present and discuss a proposal for an organic law that amends and supplements Organic Law No. 18-15 relating to the amending and supplementing finance laws, and to listen to the response of the government representative and the response of the representative of the proponents, on October 10, 2023, provided that the plenary session is devoted to voting on this proposal on October 10, 2023. After the date of the oral question session, which will fall on Thursday, October 19, 2023, the National People’s Assembly will continue its work on Thursday, October 26, with a general session devoted to voting on the two draft laws related to the written press, the electronic press, and audiovisual activity.
