The Ministry of Tourism denies the expulsion of Algerian pilgrims from a hotel in Mecca

The Ministry of Tourism issued a statement about the information that was circulated on social media and some media outlets, regarding the expulsion of Algerian pilgrims from a hotel in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

According to the statement: According to the information that was circulated on social media and some media outlets regarding Algerian pilgrims being expelled from a hotel in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts knows that this information is unfounded.
Indeed, and after the investigations carried out by the Ministry’s interests at the level of the wilaya of Biskra, in which the tourist agency “Aqla” is active as a branch of the mother agency located in the wilaya of Tamanrasset, as well as at the level of the Holy Bekaa, where contact was made with the manager of the tourist agency who is present in the place, it was found that the tourist agency It has provided accommodation in the Aziziyah area near Makkah Al-Mukarramah, for two groups of pilgrims who were transferred to the Bekaa, the first group includes 32 pilgrims and the second includes 61 pilgrims, who did not encounter any difficulties during their stay, which was going on normally.
As for the first group, it will return home on the 8th of May, while the second group will head today to Medina, to return home on the 10th of May, God willing.
On the basis of the aforementioned, and due to the fact that the information circulated is wrong and erroneous, the Ministry of Tourism and Handicraft calls on its traders to investigate it before sharing it on social media, in order to avoid misleading public opinion.
The Ministry also seizes this opportunity to call on the owners of tourism agencies to adhere to professionalism in dealing with their customers, especially as we are at the gates of the Hajj season, in order to provide Algerians with the finest services and the best dealings, and thus avoid penalties that may result from violating their obligations towards pilgrims and Umrah performers in particular and tourists. in general.
