Owners of vehicles “22” and “33” are required to replace the number plates – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The Ministry of the Interior called on the owners of vehicles known with the graphic numbers “22” or “33”, whose year of first placement in the road is not known, to start the procedures for replacing the number plates.

Today, Sunday, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Communities called on the owners of vehicles that do not know the year of their first placement in the traffic known as the graphic numbers “22” or “33”, to approach the competent authorities and undertake the necessary procedures in order to replace them with the year of their first placement in the traffic. The procedures are represented in approaching the regionally competent mining interests with the aim of subjecting the vehicle to conformity control, in order to determine the year of its first placement in traffic, then depositing the report of conformity control delivered to the owner of the vehicle, with the competent numbering department, to prepare a new numbering card that bears the year of the first placement of the vehicle in traffic, In the end, the vehicle numbering cards and plates bearing graphs “22” or “33” should be replaced with ones that include the year of first driving, no later than December 31, 2023.

According to the statement, the Ministry of the Interior stressed the need to implement these procedures to avoid the penalties stipulated in the legislation and regulation in force in this field, especially the provisions of Law No. 01-14 of August 19, 2001 related to the regulation of road traffic, its safety and security, as amended and supplemented.
