Revival of gas contracts between Algeria and Italy and supplies of 28 billion cubic meters in 2024 – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The CEO of the Italian energy company “Eni”, Claudio Descalzi, described today, Monday, Algeria as “a real strategic partner and it helps Italy a lot.”

Today, Monday, on the sidelines of the visit of the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, to Algeria, Claudio Descalzi said that Algeria respects its contractual obligations regarding the agreed quantities of gas. On the other hand, the spokesman revealed a programmed rise in Algeria’s gas supplies to Italy to 28 billion cubic meters during Next year, a number that will rise to the largest in two years. Descalzi added that Algeria supplied Italy with an additional 3 billion cubic meters of gas in 2022 and will pump 3 billion cubic meters this year.
