4 agreements between the Supreme Court and the Federation of Lawyers’ Organizations – New Algeria

The Supreme Court agreedNational Union Lawyers’ organizations, yesterday, Saturday in the capital, discussed four main points in the future.

This came after a coordination meeting between the first president of the Supreme Court Taher Mamouni The head of the Federation of Lawyers’ Organizations, Captain Ibrahim Tairi.

A statement by the court stated that it was agreed to “form a permanent joint committee between the court and the Federation Council in order to review and enrich the content of the memorandum dated September 1, 2024, and the explanations and interpretations that resulted from it as soon as possible.”

They also agreed to “create a coordination meeting between the court and the Federation Council, which will be held once a year.”

It was agreed to “open and ensure the scope for redress for orders and decisions that may contain legal errors.”

The two parties reached “the necessity of submitting joint proposals to reconsider the articles related to the cassation appeal in the Code of Criminal Procedure.”
