7 members were chosen by FAF to find the most suitable coach for the Greens

The Algerian Football Federation revealed the human composition that will lead the special committee appointed by President Walid Sadi, and charged with choosing the next coach for the Greens.

This committee is composed of seven members, headed by the first official in charge of the Federation’s Technical Directorate, Amer Mansoul.

The latter will lead a team that mixes experienced competencies with young ones who will work on studying the files of the candidates to succeed coach Djamel Belmadi, in a period not exceeding ten days, according to what the same body recently confirmed.

Mansoul will be accompanied by the legend of the National Liberation Front team and former FAF president Mohamed Maouch, along with the most supervised coach for the national team (72 matches), Rabah Saadane.

In addition to them is the current member of the Federal Bureau, Karim Kassed, who is in charge of the national teams, and Professor Fouad Shiha, who is responsible for the federal training of physical officers in the FAF, and an accredited expert with the Confederation of African Football.

Also working alongside them will be the former head of the National Technical Directorate, Boualem Laaroom, and the training coach approved by the African Confederation, Amin Guimuz.

International names nominated to lead the desert warriors

The Algerian Federation’s announcement of the termination of coach Djamel Belmadi’s contract opened the door for the national media to nominate several names to assume the position.

Coaches such as Frenchman Hervé Renard and Portuguese Carlos Queiroz topped this list in light of the experience the duo possesses at the international level.

The former’s commitment to a contract with the French Football Federation until next July, through which he supervises the first women’s team, did not prevent his name from appearing at the top of the pyramid of nominations to coach ancient African teams such as Algeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Egypt.

The latter seems the closest to convincing Renard to replace sacked Portuguese Rui Vitoria, according to Egyptian media reports.
