42 thousand applications to obtain a self-contractor card – New Algeria

Walid confirmed during a meeting on the occasion of organizing a study day on financial inclusion, organized by the Association of Banks and institutions Finance said that “at least 41,764 self-contractors have, to date, registered themselves through this platform, which is known for its great success.”

In the same context, he revealed his hope to exceed the threshold of 500,000 registered people by the end of the current year, especially with the steady increase in the pace of registrations.

He said, “These numbers indicate the interest shown by people for the self-contractor system in order to formalize their activities while benefiting from many advantages, especially of a tax nature,” indicating that the launch of this procedure constitutes “one of the most important endeavors taken by public authorities in many years.” In order to devote financial inclusion to this group.”

Within the framework of this system directed at supporting youth entrepreneurship, the public authorities took the initiative to establish the National Agency for Self-Entrepreneurship, which is primarily responsible for establishing and managing the national registry for self-entrepreneurship through a digital platform for electronic registration.

It works to contribute to controlling new economic activities, especially in the field of digitization and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit, by facilitating young people’s access to self-employment and encouraging them to integrate into the formal economy.

The Minister also referred to the stages that Algeria has taken in digitizing and “democratizing financial solutions”, whether in the banking field or in the field of insurance, stressing that the new draft law on insurance, which is currently being completed, includes several new procedures, especially in the aspect related to digital insurance.
