27 Belouizdad youth supporters released out of 39 detainees – New Algeria
The administration of Belouizdad Youth Club confirmed, yesterday evening, Monday, that 27 supporters out of the 39 detainees had been released, after appearing on the same day, before a court in Bir Mourad Rais, in Algiers.
39 supporters of the Chabab Belouizdad team were arrested during the match between the Assimi club and Olympia Agbo. Which took place last Friday evening, at the “July 5, 1962” Olympic Stadium, in the capital. This is to calculate the final round of the competition Algerian Football Cup. It ended with the youth team winning by two goals to zero.
They were charged with vandalizing public property and assaulting security personnel.
The Belouizdad Youth Administration also revealed, on its official Facebook page, that only Mr. Mahdid Samir, The lawyer accredited to the Supreme Court and the Council of State, who is charged with defending the defendants’ case, has deposited 12 supporters until the next session scheduled for Monday, April 8.
The Youth Administration confirmed in a statement that it will continue to defend the remaining detainees until they are released.
It came in Her statement “The management of the Belouizdad youth team informs its loyal supporters that, in coordination with the lawyers assigned to defend the supporters arrested in the last Republic Cup match, it will continue to defend with all its might in order to regain the rights of its loyal supporters. It also confirms that it will not give up the case until the rest of the detained supporters are released.”
The statement continued: “Belouizdad Youth Center confirms that the team’s supporters are the foundation of the club and an example of loyalty and sincerity. You will stand with the simple supporter who affirmed his loyalty and loyalty to his team and colors in every match, wherever he went. I hope that the Almighty God will release the arrested supporters so that they can return to their families and loved ones as soon as possible, God willing.”
