21 universities lose their position in the Times World Classifications – New Algeria
Newly established universities were able to enter classification The Times of the World edition is 2024, although it has been in existence for less than 50 years.
According to the British Times Higher Education THE website for emerging universities, the number of universities that joined the classification was estimated at 21 universities, as Bel Abbas University ranked first in the framework of the Times World Classification of Young Universities “2024 Edition.”
In the same classification that was introduced in 2012 for institutions established less than 50 years ago, the universities of Annaba, Setif, and Skikda ranked second.

It should be noted that this classification is based on a complex group of Indicators Which relate to the type and quantity related to the number of professors and students, scientific production and its impact in the Scopus databases by using 13 indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons.
