Amour made this statement during his participation in the state of Tamanrasset, on Saturday, in the activities of the third regional meeting entitled “The citizen is at the core of the concerns of the President of the Republic and transparency is the basis of quality public service,” organized in coordination with the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption.

The meeting brought together local delegates from a number of the southern states of the country and the states’ contact points, representatives of the states’ general inspectors, representatives of all public administrations and elected officials, as well as frameworks from the supreme authority for transparency, preventing and combating corruption.

The meeting also witnessed the participation of the Head of the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption, Salima Masrati, and her accompanying delegation, the Inspector General of the Ministry of the Interior, Local Communities and Urban Development, the Mediator of the Republic, Madjid Amour, as well as the Governor of the State, Mohamed Boudraa.

The meeting aims to diagnose and evaluate mechanisms for dealing with citizens’ concerns, identify the shortcomings recorded in the field, and provide solutions that will improve public service and optimally address citizens’ concerns.

The governor of the state stressed, during a speech he delivered on the occasion, that taking care of citizens’ concerns is the focus of the state’s concerns, led by the President of the Republic, through the instructions and recommendations he gives in this regard. For his part, the Mediator of the Republic stressed in this meeting the necessity of joint work to raise the relationship between the administration and the citizen to the level of his aspirations, as it is a priority of the President of the Republic, who placed him as the focus of all public policies in fulfillment of his obligations aimed at protecting the rights of citizens and consecrating the rule of law, stressing that the creation of the Republic’s Mediator Authority He came for the citizen and to accompany him in the event that he was a victim of injustice due to a defect in the management of a public facility.
