200,000 interventions for censorship agents during Ramadan, and the merchants’ response was perfect – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

The Director General of Commercial Activities and Organization at the Ministry of Commerce, Sami Qali, stated that his interests recorded nearly 200,000 interventions during the past month of Ramadan, as a result of which it was proposed to close more than 1,500 commercial stores, and he appreciated the response of merchants during the Eid.

During his appearance as a guest on the “Morning Guest” program, Sami Qali confirmed to Radio One that 112 merchants at the national level did not adhere to the attendance system, as 93 merchants were left behind on the first day of the holiday and 19 merchants on the second day.

Qali noted the spirit of responsibility of the persistent merchants, stressing that the defaulters will be punished with a fine of between 30,000 and 200,000 dinars.

Regarding the holy month, Qoli revealed that 2,994 tons of various foodstuffs, including oil and semolina, and 15,854 liters of pasteurized milk were seized during Ramadan.

The number of interventions by oversight agents during the holy month amounted to nearly 200,000 interventions, as a result of which more than 35,000 violations were issued, including 34,061 official reports issued for judicial follow-up, with a proposal to close 1,509 shops.

The violations, according to the Director General of Commercial Activities and their organization, relate to lack of hygiene and the sale of expired and inappropriate products.

Qali also indicated that the total amount of reservations amounted to 149 million dinars, while the total amount of non-billing was nearly 6.9 billion dinars.
