The British Sky Sports network revealed that West Ham United agreed to sell the contract of its Algerian player Said Benrahma during the current winter transfer market.
Hammers officials were convinced of the financial proposal submitted by their counterparts from French club Olympique Lyonnais, which amounted to 17.5 million euros to include the Algerian.
The official announcement of the deal is expected to be made in the coming hours, according to what was reported by several French and British media outlets.

The player returns to League 1 after six years
Saeed Benrahma left the French League in 2018, following the success of the Brentford management, active in the English First Division Championship at the time, in paying nearly two million euros to the Nice club in order to bring him in.
The star of the left wing then shone in the Championship, attracting the attention of another London team, West Ham United.
Scottish coach David Moyes gave the green light to club officials to loan Benrahma for six months, four years ago, and then activate the clause to buy his contract permanently in 2021 for 23 million euros.
The Desert Warrior performed well in the first two seasons in the “Hammers” shirt, earning the trust of coach Moyes, who was able to lead the club to achieve the title of the second edition of the First Conference League Championship in the 2022/2023 season.
The situation did not remain the same, and the decline in Benrahma’s performance coincided with the recruitments made by West Ham United in the midfield and attack, most notably the recruitment of Ghanaian star Mohamed Quddus from the Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.
His participation has decreased since then, especially in the tournament Premier League Excellent, as he appeared on only five occasions in the starting lineup.
