The awards ceremony for emerging enterprises, organized at the conclusion of this program, took place yesterday evening, Tuesday, in Algiers, in the presence of the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Emerging Enterprises and Micro-enterprises, Yassine Mahdi Walid, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdel. Al-Hakim bin Talis.
While the meeting was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Li Jian, and the Head of the Postal and Electronic Communications Regulatory Authority, Mohamed Al-Hadi Hannachi.
The Huawei Spark program provides free cloud resources, as well as specialized training and support, to eligible startups, with the opportunity to benefit from the commercial offerings of the Huawei Cloud ecosystem. It also allows emerging enterprises to head towards international markets while accompanying them to international exhibitions.
The evening was also an opportunity to present prizes to four holders of innovative projects guaranteed directly by Huawei, in addition to honoring nine Algerian students who will participate in the Huawei ICT Competition scheduled to be organized next May in Shenzhen (China).
It is worth noting that the “Huawei Spark” program dedicated to promoting and developing startups was launched in September 2022 by Huawei-Algeria and the public startup accelerator “Alegria Ventur.”
